Since its inception in March 2016, Resurrected Life Church (RLC) has existed for the purpose of growing God’s kingdom through the areas of evangelism, discipleship, worship and fellowship. It’s through these four areas that its church mission was established, which is “To worship God the Father, bring the lost to the Savior, equip the saints for service, share Christ’s love through Christian fellowship all through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Through the love and compassion of other local pastors and congregations, Resurrected Life Church is very grateful to have been blessed with the opportunity to borrow the building space of other churches in the Somerset area, that is located off Hwy 16, just outside San Antonio, Texas.
In less than three years, through the glory of Jesus Christ and the strong leadership that He has provided through pastors and other servant leaders of RLC, the growth of its ministries, has superseded the space at its current location. As a result, and through the prayer and leading of the Holy Spirit, Resurrected Life Church came to the decision that it was time to begin plans for its own church building, a place to call home, in order to continue its mission and growth.
Through prayer and faith, the Lord opened an incredible and unique opportunity for Resurrected Life Church to acquire and purchase an empty, metal building, located less than 10 miles of its current location and community, in Poteet, TX.
This future church site for RLC is set in an open 3,000 sq. ft. building space, set on 2.5 acres of land. With room to meet the needs of a growing church, the potential for what is ahead is exciting yet also challenging. In order for the building to be transformed into a place of worship, equipped for ministry needs of all ages, RLC must complete the construction of the foyer, church office and children ministry classrooms; the renovation of the inside, that includes a sanctuary, balcony, classrooms, kitchen, HVAC system, fire escape, electrical, plumbing, painting, flooring, light fixtures and furniture/equipment; exterior flat work and parking lot. It’s a big list but we serve a BIGGER God!
Indeed, there is a lot of work ahead, and it will be a labor of love and sacrifice, but we are confident through Jesus Christ, that He will provide the necessary resources through the generous hearts of His people to make this vision come to fruition.
